Default BI Portal error - 12-06-2005 , 02:15 PM

Hi,

I'm currently having a hard time installing the BI Portal v1.0.008, I keep
receiving the following error:

RenderPage: Cannot read the page [http://localhost/sites/bip/BIP Analysis
Tools/Default/default.add].
----------------------
Error reported:
Site: [http://localhost/sites/bip] -Object reference not set to an instance
of an object.
----------------------
Error source:
BIPHelper
----------------------
Error StackTrace:
at Microsoft.SharePoint.BIPortal.BIPHelper.WebService Base.GetSPWeb(String
sitePath) at
Microsoft.SharePoint.BIPortal.BIPHelper.LanguageRe nder.RenderPage(String
currentLanguage, String siteRelativePath, String page)
----------------------
Exception Type:
System.Exception

Is there anyway to fix this problem ?

Is there another version of this tool that works properly on Windows 2003
and AS2005?

Thanks,
Eric

You have to check setting in IIS.
BI Portal never work in .NET Framework 2.0, you have to set into .NET
Framework 1.0 or 1.1

Hope it works
