Default BI Portal - Bug in menu after creating New View? - 05-03-2004 , 09:11 AM

Does anyone have experience with a possible issue in BI Portal that causes
the "File | New" menu to load the entire page instead of the
View/Category/Folder items? Steps to reproduce:

1.) Open BI Portal bipdefault.aspx
2.) Click File | New | View
3.) Select a datasource from the drop down and click "Ok"
4.) After OWC's have loaded with new connection, click on File | New menu

At this point the submenu will have the entire BI Portal loaded within it
insead of showing the actual submenu. I have tried to determine the cause,
and even changed menu_1.xml to make the New View/Cateogory/Folder items part
of the main menu instead of a submenu, but then the entire File menu turns
into a copy of the page. I know that the menu's are represented by DIVS
loaded in an IFrame, and I suspect that the mis-loading has something to do
with the code in the ext\menus.js file that handles the IFrame loading. I
haven't yet nailed down the exact cause yet - does anyone have any ideas?
