Could you elaborate on what your definition of quartal is? For
instance....take a dimension Customer and measure Unit Sales. Do you
mean you'd want to rank the Customers from 1 to N based on the value of
Unit Sales...and then grab the top 25% of customers based on that rank
and call them Quartal 1...the next 25% - 50% and call them Quartal
2...the next 50% - 75% and call them Quartal 3...the next 75% - 100%
and call them Quartal 4.
Then...after quartilzing things...then determine the average for a
given quartal based on the quartal that the current customer is in.
Or said differently...for each customer...compare their value of unit
sales to the average for the quartal that the current customer happens
to be in?
If you want something like I describe...my next question is how big is
your cube...sticking with my example above for customers...how many
customers do you have?
If you I'm not quite on target...can you please elaborate on your
question with an example describing what you wish to achieve? |
