Default AS2005: Dimensions, attributes, relationships & hierarchies... - 03-23-2006 , 07:49 AM

Hi,

I starts to see some point to be aware about AS2005 dimensions in blogs.
So I want to learn more about how to correctly construct dimensions in
AS2005.

Most of my dimensions contains a large number of attributes (50)
the biggest dimension has no hierarchy defined (customer dimension)
If I have to create hierarchies, its only 1 level hierarchies (like gender,
family status...)

So, what is the result for my customer dimension? does I have to create the
1 level hierarchies to insure that AS will create aggregations?

when I go through the aggregation wizard sometimes the system display 0
estimated counts for my attrbiutes and sometimes there is a number.
when or not the system count correctly these numbers?

what's appends when I have a hierarchy which doesn't contain the key
attribute at the lower level?

There is any reference on the web which describe more in depth the options
and the result of each one?

Thanks.

Jerome.
