Default AS2005: another bug... changing a dimension from MOLAP to ROLAP corrupt the database and crash AS - 07-07-2006 , 08:02 AM

Hi,

again me :-)

when I change the storage mode of a dimension from MOLAP to ROLAP, this
cause the server to crash and the database become corrupted.
again... thanks mister backup....

This dimension is used in 1 cube as a regular dimension; this cube is used
in in other cubes as a linked cube.
well... I'll keep the MOLAP mode for the moment.

Jerome.

I had similar experience when I even changed some property (like filter ) in
a dimension it caused corruption (that is in AS2000). I think that the safe
way to do is remove all the cubes using the dimensions, then change the
dimension structure.
