Default AS2005 - 2 measures having different grains - 02-16-2006 , 10:28 PM

I have two measures, one measure is called XMeasure and the other one
is called YMeasure. Both measures have identical dimensions,
therefore, both are in the same measure group. I also have a Date
dimension who's levels are Year, Quarter and Month respectively.
Xmeasures grain to Date dimension is Month. YMeasures grain to Date
dimension is Year and there is "NO" allocation of YMeasure to its
descendants. How do I construct the cube with this type of problem?

Two measure groups.
Set granularity attribute for Date dimension when connecting YMeasure to
Year. Correspondingly for MG containing Xmeasure Date dimension should have
granularity on Month.

Hope that helps.
Edward.
