Default Arhieving Structures Only - 04-17-2005 , 06:13 PM

I am trying to bring an AS database into my sandbox.
Unfortuneately, it is too big for me to archive the
entire database. Is there any way to archieve (backup)
an AS database with structures/objects only without cell
values?

Thanks,
Mike

Copy and Paste will bring in just the structure. Right mouse-click on the
database, select Copy, then Paste it on the target server.

Good luck.

Sorry, I may have misread your question. Copy and paste will move just
structure, so this is one way.

If you want to archive, but without your data, you could process all your
dimensions (full) and THEN do an archive and restore, if archive is the way
you want to go. The full process of the dims will remove all your data, so
you may want to be sure you have a good back up of your data directory and
respository before doing this. It seems like Cut and Paste sounds more like
what you want.
