Default Archiving and Restoring - 08-05-2003 , 08:16 PM

Hi ,
Here's what I want . I want to be able to transfer a cube from testing
server to production server . I did a bit of research, and Archiving and
Restoring using msmdarch seemed like the best option . I used the
following as referance
]http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q312399&sd-
=tech[/url]

After the cab file was created , i copied it to the production servr
and ran the msmdarch restore command .
"\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdarch" /r myserver
"\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Data\"
"\My archives\myserver\applicants.cab"

But , the new cube does not get created in Analysis Manager ,whn I go to
the Database - Cubes folder .

Whts the problem ?
thanks
Dev

Hi,

I suggest that you use the Logfile option to seen what is going wrong.
