Hello,

We are using MS-SQL 2000, SP3, Win2K SP3.
In Analysis Services, whenever we try to archive a db, we
have the message:
"Another archival or restoration process is currently in
progress on this computer. Can not continue archival at
this time".

We verify that there is no archival process running !

Note that this problems arises only for developers (with
no admin rights): the administrator can archive with no
pbme !!!

Could you please help ?

Abdou,
The error message is probably wrong. It should tell you that you have to be
a member of the admin group to run msmdarch. Make the developers members, or
schedule and run the archiving in you favorite scheduling tool (SQL Server
Agent) using an admin account.
