Default archive database error - 06-14-2005 , 01:07 PM

I have a developer that receives the error "Cannot attach to the OLAP Data
directory" when he tries to archive a database. He is a member of OLAP
Administrators and can do other activities with the database.

I am able to run the archive without any problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an ACL restricting the data folder?

The user was added to OLAP Administrators and that group was given full
rights to the entire 'DATA' directory and given modify rights to the 'BIN'
directory for Microsoft Analysis Server.

He can do other activities with the OLAP.

I can run the Archive without any error.

Beyond ACLs and file permissions -- which you say you have done -- there
isn't much more to go on. As a brute force techinque, which I don't
recommend lightly, what happens if they are added to the machine
administrators group?
