Hello, My company is running MS Analysis Services 2000. We make frequent use of partitioned cubes. We use a combination of Excel (OWC) and Cognos as our presentation tools. I'm looking to implement drillthrough in the near future and would like to know what the best approach to doing this is. The problem that I've run into with nearly all presentation tools is that they only recognize the first partition of data returned from the cube. I've found the drillthrough.htc file from the OWC toolpack and some code from this post that will enable it to work against multi-partitioned cubes, so I do have a solution. My question is this - What is the preferred way to implement drillthrough to a partitioned cube, and be able to get data back from any partition? I can use the file that I hacked around, but I would like to know if there is a standard / preferred Microsoft solution to drillthrough to a partitioned cube. Any help / recommendations would be greatly appreciated, Justin |
