Default Any content Issue using Excel as OLAP client - 07-19-2006 , 11:30 AM






Excel is one kind of OLAP client. Ignoring the look and the way it use, is
there is any con to use it as a OLAP client. Please advise. Thanks.

I think that I found the answer myself. In Excel, MDX scripts are created
behind the scene. In other word, there is no scripting functionality. As a
result, you can not use MDX function like NextMember, Parent, etc. Please
let me know if there is any input. Thanks.
