Default Analysis Services Standard Edition over internet - 05-06-2005 , 11:34 AM

Hello,
I need access data in Analysis Server 2000 Standard Edition over
internet either using HTTP or TCP connection. Software on client side
would be Office Web Components what i believe is using PivotTable
Service.
In addition, the clients need to be authenticated to be able to use
database roles defined in the OLAP database.

I figured out that HTTP connection is available only in Enterprise
Edition so this is probably out of the game.
After all research and experiments i was only able to connect from
local intranet using TCP and was not able to control user account
accessing the server. I assume that the OWC is automatically using the
clients NT account.

Is there any way to use the Analysis Services SE over internet or is
that just not possible or wtf? I read numerous posts and articles
addressing AS over internet but none has solution or didn't mention the
version.

Is there anyone who successfully connected to Standard Edition from
internet with OWC or is the Standard Edition only for playing at home?
