When designing the storage of my cube and determing the number of aggregations to create, I am limited to a single aggregation no matter what % or size estimate I pick. Also, the little graph that is usually displayed does not. The aggregation design process for this cube has worked nomally until just recently. I went though a redesign process on the joins and used the Schema Optimation Wizard then wanted to start over with some basic aggregations that I would later add to. Now I can't get more than 1 aggregation to be created. Any ideas on what may have happened? By the way.... I copied and pasted the cube to a new one and get the same results. Jim |

Two possibilities: 1) Bring up the cube editor and verify that each of the "Aggregation Usage" has been set to "Standard" for each one. It might be that it has been set for Top Level Only. 2) Another possibility is that the dimension and fact table counts have gotten out-of-wack. While in the cube editor, look at the "Fact table size" advanced property. There is a little gray box there. Click on it and count the fact table size. Similarly, with each dimension in the dimension editor, udpate the "Member count" advanced property. Hope that helps. -- Dave Wickert [MSFT] dwickert (AT) online (DOT) microsoft.com Program Manager BI SystemsTeam SQL BI Product Unit (Analysis Services) -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
