We had a disk crash on our server a few days ago, which was where the Analysis Services database files were stored - the disk was replaced and the contents restored from the drive backup. I'm now having trouble getting back online with my OLAP database. When I get into Analysis Manager, I am not able to do anything with the OLAP database - I can see the database okay, but Analysis Manager freezes everytime I click on the database name, overwrite the database with a restore of an archive, or delete the database all together. I have tried manually stopping & starting the OLAP service (through the Control Panel / Services window) - the service stops okay, but gets stuck in the "Starting" status when I try and start it. The service did start okay after a reboot last night, but I have the same problems mentioned above whenever I try to do anything with the database. And the service once again gets stuck in the "Starting" status when I try to manually stop/start it. Thanks in advance for any help on this issue. Pete |
