We have a standard OLAP database on Analysis Services 2000 US with SP3a.
Repository is MSAccess (it has never been changed).
About 36 roles have been defined to manage security.

For some reasons, it's nearly impossible to remove some roles : sometimes it
doesn't work, sometime we have to do it twice from Analyis Manager before it
takes it into account.

Do you have any ideas on where the problem comes from ?
- Should we migrate to a SQL Server repository (note we've already try
compacting the msmdrep.dmb database to improve data access performance) ?
- Do we have to many roles ?
- What else ?

Whenever you add / delete / modify any entries in the
Cube/Database roles. "Refresh" it.

The problem is that it explicitly refuses to remove the role.
Each time, I get the message "Error in removing role object".

Note that we have the same problem if we try to remove the user via DSO
