My DTS jobs failed first of this month(Oct 1) due to the following error....

"Step Error Source: DSO Step Error Description:Unable to connect to the
registry on the server (SGTGAS03), or you are not a member of the OLAP
Administrators group on this server. Step Error code: 80040031.Step Error

When I checked the analysis server node, it was down(I was not able to
connect) and i was getting almost the above message. I have checked services
for analysis manager and found surprisingly it was still active. Manually I
have stopped and restarted the service. After this I was able to connect the
server and I was able to run the dts packages.

Analysis server service pack is sp3.

analysis manager is installed in D drive. Tempdirectory1 and
TempDirectory2(Registry) also pointing to D drive... d drive has got 2.5 GB
free space

But C:\ has only 300 Mb free space. The above error is coming because of
this.???? Is it something to do with virtual memory settings? How to find out.

All the DTS jobs have admin access to run. We never had a problem in
executing... suddenly this happened....

Any help in this regard will be very much helpful. Thanks in advance....

First try the latest service pack for AS (SP4). I had a similar error
message and this has since stopped.
