Default Analysing Services Service Pack version not showing up - 11-18-2004 , 02:01 AM

I have a server running SQL Server 2000 sp3 and Analysis Services 2000.
I've downloaded SP3 for AS, stopped the service from running, unpacked it
and started setup.exe.

It runs through the install, but when it's finished, it doesn't show that
the service pack has been installed. I've rebooted the server, and it still
doesn't show up.

I check the SP version by opening Help in Analysis Manager, click "About
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services". The About-screen says
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
Microsoft Corporation
Version: 8.00.382Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
Microsoft Corporation
Version: 8.00.382

How can I successfully install SP3?

All help appreciated!

Never mind.
I checked this page
http://www.sql-server.org/How_to_det...81-3728-a.html
I did all the checks it mentions to determine the version of AS running, and
they all showed up with 8.00.760, which is SP3. It seems the version I was
looking at through Help> About shows the build.

Open Analysis Manager.
In the left window right-click on the "Analysis Servers" and select "About Analysis Services..." from menu.
