Default ALTER CUBE statements - 09-27-2006 , 05:34 AM

Hi

Can someone point in the right direction for using the ALTER CUBE statement to create, remove and move members from a NON parent-child dimension.

I've managed to get it all working on the Account dimension in Adventure Works but not (for example) Sales Territory Region

I want to be able to allow our client users to writeback to any type of dimesion not just parent-child.

Is this possible? If not can anyone advise a better way of achieving this?

thanks

This is not supported.

You can use the newer XMLA-based APIs instead -- they support non-pc
dimensions, but are a little more complex to use and they also have some
limitations.

Thanks,

thanks for the response Akshai

I'll look into the XMLA approach.
