Default ADOMD.Net with MSAS 2005 - 11-08-2005 , 03:16 PM

Hi Anand / Dave,

I have a C# EXE that uses ADOMD (COM Interop) to retrieve data from MSAS
2000 through the CellSet object and is working fine for couple of years now.

Now we are migrating to MSAS 2005 and i would like to replace ADOMD with
ADOMD.Net so that i do not have to use COM Interop.

Can you please provide a stating point? Any sample C# code using ADOMD.Net
and MSAS 2005. Do i have to download ADOMD.Net for MSAS2005 for some where
and register it before i can start using it?

Thanks,

Prasad.

No, if you are developing and AS is installed, then ADOMD.NET is already
there.
For a standalone install, look at the newly announced SQL2K5 Feature Pack.

The API is very similar. You should have no problems getting started.
