Hi, If we want to have additional database fields based on a table added in a AS2005 cube we can add this in the udm or the sql server view. I would like to add a date field. Any ideas which is the best ? Marco |

its the same result. put it in the UDM if the usage is only for your cubes. "Marco" <olap (AT) gmsbv (DOT) nl> wrote in message news:1157365423.281356.159990 (AT) e3g2000cwe (DOT) googlegroups.com... Thank you. It looks like that the UDM is meant to be the enduser layer for query tools. I used before all queries / views as source for ssas2000 cubes and now i have the option to import the query in UDM as view or even to copy / pate the sql code for the query / view. It is interesting to know which solution to choice for and if there are companies/organisations using one of the 2 solutions with + and -.
