Default actions with Office Web Components - 11-22-2004 , 08:17 PM

team;

i want to use actions in a OLAP cube in order to allow someone to
right-click and send an email

i was planning on just using the mailto:alias

but i couldn't figure out how to do this in excel and via Office Web
Components

Do I need to write code to do this in OWC 10? (office XP)

Everything that I have read so far, involves right code and css this and all
that garbage.

what am i missing?

Look at the Office Web Components Toolpack.
It has samples for how to implement Actions with OWC.
See:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Also, the kb article might help:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;319793

Lastly, while I don't know if it covers actions, you might find these books
useful:
1)
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...sbn=0595198465
2)
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...sbn=073560794X
(this one is on Office 2000 which did not support actions, but the
programming examples are interesting)

Hope that helps.

You don't mention this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...1154/ref=sr_8_
xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-3952896-0772666

However ... i've ordered it twice now from amazon uk without luck - the
first time they - after changing delivery estimate a couple times - said
they couldn't get it. Now I've ordered it once again and asked them if they
can deliver this time....they said yes (we think so...) but not they once
again has postponed delivery so I'm not quite sure that I'll get it.

Ordered the recent one below...
