Hi, I have built several cubes using MS AS 2000. I currently report off of them from ASP.NET 2003 using ADOMD (I populate an Infragistics webgrid with data returned through MDX queries). My company is now moving to VS.NET 2005 & I am wondering if anyone knows of any articles detailing changes in regards to OLAP access & reporting in the new version of Visual Studio. Has the connection to cubes in AS 2000 changed in the new version of Visual Studio? I remember going through all sorts of convoluted steps to get ADOMD to work with the old version & I still couldn't get the newest version of ADOMD (ADOMD.NET?) to work. I want to try using Pivot tables in a report for a new cube I recently created. Is there any pivot table controls in VS.NET? I would prefer creating an asp.net app but a smart client windows app is not out of the question. What are my options? I have heard about OWC11 but can't find any samples or how-to articles. I also found a beta version of a web pivot table done in .NET 2003: http://www.sqlserveranalysisservices...tGridIntro.htm Are there any good 3rd party tools out there? I see ChartFX has an OLAP extension for their charts but the VS.NET version still isn't available. I would really appreciate any insight you may have! Tina |
