Default About Aggregation - 09-12-2004 , 11:11 PM

Dear all,

Is there any way to know which aggregations have been made by Storage Design
Wizard after I redesign the aggregation?

Thank you!

Best Wishes,
Polly

You can view (and edit) aggregations, with the Partition Aggregation Utility.
This tool is bundled with "SQL Server Accelerator for Business Intelligence".
This is a free Microsoft download available at:

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/ssabi/default.asp

To view aggregations, launch the utility, expand a database, expand a a
cube, expand the partitions folder, select a partition, right-click and
select "Edit Aggregations".
You may find this tool useful for a lot a partition and aggregation-related
tasks.

To view aggregations you can also use an earlier version of that tool which
was included as part of the SQL Server 2000 Resource Kit, which can be found
either at your local bookstore, one of the online bookstores, e.g.
http://www.bn.com, or if you can find someone in your organization which as
a TechNet distribution, there is a copy of the SQL Server 2000 Resource Kit
on one of the TechNet distribution CDs.
