the "only" performance issue will be memory issue.
if you really need a lot of memory to run correctly your cube, then having 2
instance with high memory usage for each instance will cause some memory
swap.
in my case I don't see any specific issues when the 2 instances runs in
parrallel.
but the memory usage of each instance is less then available memory.

Hi,
I would like to be able to run an instance of 32-bit Analysis Services
2000 on a 4 64-bit 2.6 GHZ AMD with 32 GB of RAM processor server in
parallel with 64-bit SSAS 2005. My understanding is I can do this as long
as the default instance is 2000. Could anyone provide any guidence, any
performance concerns?
Thanks,
Koni. |
