What is the affect of changing rigid
2005 dimension relationships to flexible relationships?
These 2005 dimensions were migrated/created by the
the migration tool.

From BOL http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176124.aspx
Indicates whether member relationships change over time. Values are
Rigid, which means that relationships between members do not change over
time, or Flexible, which means that relationships between members change
over time. Default is Flexible. If you define a relationship as
flexible, aggregations are dropped and recomputed after an incremental
update. If you define a relationship as rigid, Analysis Services retains
aggregations when the dimension is incrementally updated. If a
relationship that is defined as rigid actually changes, Analysis
Services generates an error during incremental processing. Specifying
the appropriate relationships and relationship properties increases
query and processing performance.
Actually there is an error in BOL (which I have corrected above) which
state that both types of aggregates do not drop aggregates when they are
incrementally updated. It is my understanding that attributes with
flexible relationships always drop and rebuild their aggregations when
incrementally processed.
