Default AS 2005 64-bit Compatibility - 09-06-2006 , 08:52 AM

I have an offsite developer building a cube in AS 2005 32-bit (server + VS),
and I need to deploy the solution he creates on a AS 2005 64-bit server, with
VS 2005 64-bit as the interface. Will there be any issues deploying the
32-bit solution into a 64-bit environment ? Please advise me on the process
to do this. Thanks.

there is no issue
AS x32 and AS x64 are fully compatible.
you can backup/restore or deploy or synchronize the servers without problem
(or known problem for me)

in fact VS is a x32 application, not an x64 one.

Hello Mark,

I agree with Jéjé"'s comments, as for as I know, there is no known issue
when deploying 32 bit project to 64 bit version of SSAS 2005. If you do
encounter any issues, please feel free to post back. Thank you.
