Default Why the Job time become longer and longe - 11-09-2003 , 07:16 PM

I use DTS to import data from Oracle,In begining ,it's work's perfect. But the Job time became longer and longer day by day. I asking my boss,he says that Oracle Server is idle in that time.
And we do not change any other settings.Would you tell me what wrong is it?
Thanks for your suggest.

Anything going on at the same time ?
Data transfer larger ?
Locks/Blocks?
Is the increase in time linear ?

1.No other process going at the same time on SQL and Qracle
2.No.The RowCount during transfer almost the same.
3.No.The process is going on in the early morning. So I
think there are no dead lock on time. And after I go to
work,I do not see any dead lock messages.
4.Not always increase in time linear , but almost.
ex: 0:37 -->0:34 -->1:59-->1:51-->2:17-->1:50-->2:26
What's wrong with my SQL job?
Help~~~

Anything changed?

Is it faster when you execute it manually ?

A lot of people like to export to text file and then import the text file on
the other RDBMS when moving data between Oracle and SQL Server.

Then unfortunately I do not know.

What happens if you create a completely new job that does the exact same
thing as the current? This work any faster?
