Default Why I can not run Script Component debug in SSIS - 07-03-2008 , 10:15 AM






Hi,
I am not sure what I am missing as far as the configuration but I can
not debug my SSIS package. I cna ste the breakpoints but the they are
never hit. I also donot see "Edit Breakpoint" when I am in the data
flow view. Can anybody tell me what I am missing?"

Hello Mo:

Breakpoints are strictly a Control Flow thing. Once control is handed over
to a Data Flow task, it will run. However, you can put in a Data Viewer
(right click on the pipe line anywhere and select Data Viewer.) This will
essentially 'pause' the data flow to let you see the data going through the
pipe.

When you say that your breakpoints are never hit, can you give us a general
description of the Tasks you have on your Control flow, thier layout and
constraints, and the types of Breakpoints you are trying to set?
