Default Why do so many posts go unanswered after many weeks? - 02-23-2008 , 08:04 AM

Since getting an MSDN subscription a few months ago, I have made about 6
posts. I received one response from a Microsoft person telling me that my
post was in the wrong ng, I received another response from another user, the
rest went unanswered to this day. I had an MSDN subscription about 5 years
ago, and as I remember, I always got a response within a day or two. What
happened?
Just for grins and giggles, go to any ng and start going back a few days or
weeks. Notice how many items show only one post. (no response)
I am currently looking at a page containning posts from 2/5 thru 2/9
7 posts of 16 are unanswered. (almost half)
The forums used to be good. What happened?

Might be a problem with your posting alias.

If there is a problem with my alias, then why did this post get a response
from you, but the post immediately above this one, which was a real question
about SSIS runtime support, did not. They both use the same alias? It willbe
interesting to track that question and see how long it goes unanswered.
No, the problem is not with my alias, it is with MSDN. Microsoft's customer
support people have said to me that posts are ansered within 48 hours. I
have checked a number of forums, and it appears that about 50% of all
postings go unaswered after a month or more. Check it out. Can you suggest
a word to describe this behavior other than "fraud"? I can't.
