I guess the subject says it all. When I export a table into Excel, I only
have the option of Excel 5, Excel 97-2000. Can I use Excel 2k3 and if so
how? Right now the Excel file is 1MB but if I open and save the file, it
compresses down to 18k.

Yep you can use 2K3. I do all the time with no issues using the Excel
connection manager (Excel 97-2000)

Hello Mike,

All Excel versions above 97 are compatible. I also use Excel 2003 and there
are no problems.
if there is any issue (I didn't understand well who compresses what), come
back with some details.

Good luck!
