Default Views get lost when importing Access 2000 DB to SQL Server 2005 be - 09-01-2004 , 04:43 AM

Hello,

when I import my Access 2000 DB into SQL Server 2000, both tables and views
are imported correctly, i.e. I can see the tables under folder "tables" and
views under folder "views".

When I import my Access 2000 DB into SQL Server 2005 beta, only tables are
imported correctly, the views are "executed" and I can see them under folder
"tables", the folder "view" is empty.

Does anybody know what happens and how this could be avoided?

Thank you,

Robert

I suspect this is down to the method used. Importing data vs. importing
objects. DTS is really about importing data, which is what you get when the
view is materialised and imported as a table.

DTS is not an Ac cess Upgrade Wizard, which is what you may want instead.

There are newsgroups specifically for SQL Server 2005 Beta 2, you may be
better positing this in there is you want more detailed info.
