Can I link to a data link file in a dts task in order to say truncate
the tran log?? In fact that is what I would like to do, have the
package truncate the log of the database in the datlink?

ie.. the database the dts package is using is used via datalink

The reason we need to be able to do this is the data is so large and
detailed that we are going to do a load over the weekend. The log will
fill to over 70 gigs as it has before, it will eventually suck up all
the avail memory in the system and then stop the package? It is already
split to overflow into another partition but that partition is not big
enough to make much of a difference
