Hello all, 2 questions. First, lets say I have a network share mapped to a drive letter on my machine. Now I set an Excel or Text file connection to a file on this mapped network drive and save the package. If someone opens it on another machine with differently mapped drives, will the DTS Designer automatically calculate the UNC path making the package executable on another machine, or will it keep my mapped drive path causing errors on another machine? Second, I have this package with an Excel connection as a source and a SQL Server connection as a destination named Connection 1 & 2 respectively. Now when I add a Dynamic Properties Task to my package and open it up, there is a third connection (Connection 3) listed in the Connections group. If I delete the 2 connections that I can see so only the Dyn. Prop. Task is left, Connection 3 is still listed in the Dyn. Prop. task properties and is the only connection listed. Both horiz. & vert. scroll bars are disabled, so it is not like the 3rd connection is off the screen out of view some where. Is there any way to hide connections in packages? Anyone know what is going on here? Thanks for any help anyone can provide, Conan Kelly |
