Default Unable to see remote SSIS server - 07-14-2006 , 03:51 PM

I have a strange error. Here's the setup:

Local machine (L), myself: full SS2005 suite (9.0.2153), SS2000 (8.0), and
Win XP Pro SP2.
Remote machine (M): SS2005 (9.0.1399), Win NT 5.2.

I own a database on R. I am able to play with the remote db on R without
problems.

Problem is with SSIS on R. I can build and run packages involving database
on R, by right clicking on the database and choosing Import/Export etc. I
can even save them on R. The admins on R say they can see my SSIS packages
saved allright on R. However I cannot see the SSIS service on R.

If I try to fish out the SSIS service on R, I get the following popup error:
TITLE: Connect to Server
------------------------------
Cannot connect to R.
------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Failed to retrieve data for this request. (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoEnum)

Connect to SSIS Service on machine "R" failed:
Access is denied.

One thing that I have requested the owners of R is to check if DCOM
properties for MsDtsServer on R if allows local as well as remote Lauch and
Activation. Haven't got a response from them yet.

Thanks much
