i am unable to download the files from sun server using dts package. i
have given user name and password for the root directory in it. what can
be the cause? is the sun server are more secure then the windows server.
if yes then how can i download and upload text file in the sun server.

Alhad,

Sun and Windows were not designed to talk to each other. You need to help
them to communicate. Look up RCP or RSH commands in windows help. You may
find similar third party tools.

It did work for me, but after a bit of setting up. See Related Topics link
at the bottom of windows help page. I did not try any other way.
