Hi Rui,

Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup Support.

From your description, my understanding of this issue is: When you run a
SQL Server Integration Service Package in the SQL Server Integration
Service, you get the "transfer sql server objects task cannot run on this
edition" Error. If I misunderstood your concern, please feel free to point
it out.

To narrow down this issue, would you please provide some information?

1. What's the SQL Server Edition which you install the SQL Server
Integration Service?

2. If you create a new Integration Package, and run it in Integration
Service, does this issue occur?

3. What does your Integration Package do? Did you use it to transfer
the SQL Server Objects from SQL Server 2005 to another SQL Server 2005
instance?

Please let me know this information so that I can provide further
assistance on this. I look forward your reply.

Sincerely yours,

Wei Lu

Hi Wei,

My two SQL Server 2005 are Standard Editon with processor license.
I have created a new Integration Package, and yes the error occurs. In fact
my Integration Package use the Transfer SQL Server Object control, because I
don’t know how to do it in other way, to copy one table from an outside SQL
Server 2005 to another SQL 2005 inside my intranet.

Thanks,
Rui Reis

Hi Rui,

Since you just want to copy a table from a SQL Server 2005 instance to
another, you may try the SSIS Import and Export Wizard in SQL Server
Business Intelligence Development Studio.

You can find the wizard under the Project Menu.

You can find detail information in this article:
Creating Packages Using the SQL Server Import and Export Wizard
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141209.aspx

Hope this will be helpful!
