Default Strange behaviour of DTS - 03-01-2004 , 12:53 AM

Hi,folks
SQL Server 2000(sp3) with W2000 Server
We have experienced recently with strange behaviour of our DTS package.
We transfer data from AS400 to SQL Server (the package was created on the
server side) and sometimes
we get reversal hebrew words.
We have found this happened when the user did some changes within the
package and saved it on his/her workstations.
After that when we run the package we get incorrect result (reversal hebrew
words) and we will have to save the package again on the server. I cannot
say this is happening on consistent/stable period, sometimes after saving
the package on the server it does work and sometimes it does not.

Can someone shed the light on the problem. What is going on?
What kind of settings should I check?

I can only presume that this is like the issues with MDAC. If a user with
an Upstream version of MDAC saves a package then the properties of his/her
MDAC release are saved within also. A person coming along to execute the
package with a lower version of MDAC may experience problems because the
upstream version has properties not available in the lower version.
