Default step by step way to use DTS package? - 02-15-2006 , 12:25 PM

Thanks all,
Since, I am a rookie to this, can you give me a
brief overview of the process I should follow right from importing the
..txt file , converting it into sql database and then validating it . I
am using C#.Net at the front end and MS SQL server at the backend.

Awaiting reply

Hello juventusaurabh,

This is the same thread you started a while back under the 3rd subject heading.
Please keep the subject line the same if the subject matter is the same.
People tracking your other threads may never see this one and not answer.

Here is an example of moving data from a text file to SQL Server

Validation can be done in a few places in a number of ways. You have also
not defined validate. Validate what against what?

Thanx Allan,
Sorry for reposting against diff. name. I'll make
a note of it. Also, by validation, I mean to check certain fields
(state field should not be more than 2 chars, city field shouldnt have
nulls etc).

Thanks
