Default StartTime - 11-10-2003 , 10:19 AM

I'm using an ActiveX task to store the StartTime and
Finistime of a step into a global variable. The problem
is that no matter what the the job starts or finishes the
StartTime and FinishTime are always 12:00 am. Should the
actual start and finsh times appear in the defined
variable?

When are you reading the global variables? During execution or
afterwards? During will work fine, but afterwards will not unless you
have not closed the package or have saved the package to persist the
changed variable values.

If this doesn't make sense can you explain more about what your are
doing.
