Default SSIS Job step questions - 03-01-2006 , 04:11 AM

I'm trying to schedule an SSIS job that I deployed to SQL Server and NOT to
the file system.

1) When creating the job step, after choosing step type SSIS Package, I get
to choose the package source. Should I choose SQL Server, or SSIS Package
Store?
I see my package in both cases. What is the difference between SQL Server
and Package Store for packages that have been deployed to SQL Server?

2) In the Job Steps properties, there is a DataSources tab. Under this tab,
there is a check box next to each data source, unchecked by default. Should I
check these boxes ?

Hello Pat,

From BOL

The package store, which is the logical storage that Integration Services
service monitors and manages, can include both the msdb database and the
file system folders specified in the configuration file for the Integration
Services service.

Checking the box next to the Connection Managers will allow you to change
their connection string. If you do not want to do that then leave them alone.
