Default SSIS - Flag which processors to use like the database engine? - 05-30-2006 , 01:45 PM

We have a 2 processor box that we'd like to install SQL 2005 on. The question
is if we buy a single processor license, can we specify that integration
services use only one processor? I know you can tell the database engine
which processors to use, but I don't see anywhere in ssis to specify
processor use.

Thanks in advance.

Hello sqlboy2000,

AFAIK this is not possible. I am also not sure you can licence per processor
for the database engine in this way either. I think the licencing is how
many procs can the OS see NOT how many have you let SQL Server use. Check
with your MS licenceing rep though as they are the definitive voice in this
regard.

I refer you to
