Default SQL2K to SQL7 - 12-01-2004 , 09:52 AM

Can you move a DTS package from SQL 2000 to SQL 7.0?
Thanks.

Yes, but make sure you are on SQL 7.0 SP3+ and you have not used any SQL
2000 only features.

Thanks Darren.

The last time I tried opening a simple DTS package in SQL
7.0 SP4(select and export rows to an excel file), which
had been created in SQL 2000 SP3A, I encountered an error
(can't recall the exact error but I think SQL Server
complained about not being able to find the file). Thanks
again.

"The system cannot find the file specified" - probably because you had
used a SQL 2000 only task.
