Look at the Deployment Utility, see Books Online.
The stored packages file system folder is just that, so you can manually
copy them there as well (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\90\DTS\Packages), or right click and select Import Package. This is
the SSIS Package Store, but also referred to as the file system.
Just for clarity the "File System" node in the SSMS Object Explorer is also
called the "SSIS Package Store". In the "Import Package" dialog, "File
System" means anywhere on disk, rather than the defined "SSIS Package Store"
folder. Terms are not very consistent here.
To execute packages you can use-
dtexec - command line execution tool. Very powerful replacement for dtsrun
in SQL 2000.
dtexecui - Lightweight graphical execution tool. Very powerful replacement
for dtsrunui in SQL 2000.
SQL Server Agent - SSIS Sub-System - You know have a fully fledged SSIS
sub-system, or of course you could use dtexec and a CmdExec step.
Code - Write your own code to load and execute the package.
There is a SSIS newsgoup, or forum which may be better than this DTS group.

Hello:
I have 1-day experence with SQL Server 2005. So bear with my ignorance.
I created a Project and several DTS Packages in it using BI Development
Studio. I am able to execute the packages within the BI DS IDE.
These were stored as file system objects (*.dtsx). They don't show up
under
DTS\Stored Packages\File Ssyetm. What should I do to make them show up?
I was reading the on-line help file about improting them into msdb
database.
It says that when I expand the File System folder, they should be there
and I
can right-mouse click on them to import into the MSDB.
Also, what tool should I use to run these packages without using the IDE?
Thanks.
