After installing the SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Components necessary to edit legacy DTS packages using Management Studio, I get the following error when trying to edit DTS packages via 2005 MS: "The DTS host failed to load or save the package properly." What's worse, after I install the designer components, my Enterprise Manager (8.0 / 2000) stops working. I get a messagebox talking about "The procedure entry point" and SEMSFC.dll. I understand it needs version 2.6 of MDAC or later, but I have full VS 2005 Enterprise installed/running, so don't think that's it. I've seen 2 other posts on this board with the same problem, but no reply. So would appreciate a Microsoft team member or MVP reply. thanks! -Steve Moss |
