Hello,

i want to backup my mssql server 2005. is there any way to backup sql
database to txt, doc, xls etc.. format? not .bak file format.

Backup creates backup files. You can export data to other formats, but
that's not the same as a full db backup.

you can use dts(data output) to transfer the data from SQL to flat file.
