when should I split one large/complicated DTS package to
serval DTSs that are called from the main DTS.
should I split my DTS or it is Ok to keep most of our code
in one big DTS.

Depends.

If the designer screen is becoming difficult to use.
If the package is becoming too complicated
If you want to make things more modular

Would be my top 3

There is nothing wrong with BIG packages per se.
