Default Simple Question About Execute Process Task: Help Please - 09-15-2003 , 11:17 PM






Hi there,

I donot know what am i doing wrong. I just simple design
one Process Task and give the
Win32process:c:\programFiles\office\Excel.exe
and i run this DTS in DTS Designer and it did show me
Excel. But when i schedule this task to run after 5 mintes
the job seems to be running forever but Excel never run.

i can see job is still saying Executing after 15 minutes.
what is wrong what i am missing. i just want to run
application and thats all.

It is going to look for Excel on the server for a start. Do you have it on
there?
It is also going to open up in the context of the SQL Server Agent account.
Have a look at All processes on the Server and see if you can find Excel.exe
