As far as I Know, MS-Office has never been suported on Windows Server.

My question is the following : wich is the position of Microsoft on the
installation of Outlook on a Windows 2003 Server for supporting the SendMail
Task in DTS ?

It seems strange to me to have such a SendMail Task working with Outlook by
design on XP developement workstations (with SQL Server Developer Edition)
and not on Windows Server hosting the production site application (with SQL
Standard Edition 2000).
