Hi,

The following error appears intermittently in the DTS log file. Any idea
what could be the issue.


Step Error Source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services Flat File
Rowset Provider
Step Error Description:Error opening datafile: The semaphore timeout
period has expired.

I have seen mention of this type of message in 2 areas

1. Slow link when retrieving a file
2. The name of the file is > 128 characters.

Does either of these apply
